Meet Daniel, a Gold Charity runner for the Heart Foundation ACT.
Daniel, running in the Half Marathon, wanted to support the Heart Foundation because his grandfather had his first heart attack at age 36 and Daniel was the one who discovered him at only 11 years old. His grandfather later died in his 50s as a result of heart disease.
Raising funds in memory of his grandfather is truly important to Daniel. He's committed to running several recognised events throughout the year - including marathons - and the Australian Running Festival will be his start with the Half Marathon. He hired a coach and started training 4-5 months ago and eating better. He's excited that he'ss already lost 20 kilos and is improving his fitness.
